Default Ever had that feeling that you SHOULDN"T ride?

I had that feeling this morning when I got up. No warm fuzzies for riding so I drove the Suburban to work.

Ride in was uneventful but the drama was on the way home. Some landscaper had dropped a bunch of small sticks/tree debris on a blind corner and I had a deer in my lane as I rounded a downhill left. The sticks would have been a "pucker factor" since they were thru the whole corner.

Looks like I found a good time to listen to myself

I usually ignore it too. But for some reason I listened today.

But ........ maybe if I rode today the sticks wouldn't have been a problem or maybe the deer wouldn't have been there

i believe that sometimes your mental state creates the situation. i tend to get into a very zen-like state on the bike. pure focus, constant scan, instant reaction

I usually am too... but the combo of 3000 miles in 15 days, mind worried about other things, and a bit of "I got this" attitude... mixed with a couple seconds of being too relaxed... and I'm bikeless.

my feeling was more about the other crap i was thinking about... and just carried over into feelings about riding that day... especially as I was supposed to be riding 1100 miles.
