Default we've lost another good one

http://rlhtribute.com/

This site is dedicated to Robert L. Howard, one of America's most decorated soldiers. He served five tours in Vietnam and is the only soldier in our nation's history to be nominated for the Congressional Medal of Honor three times for three separate actions within a thirteen month period. Although it can only be awarded once to an individual, men who served with him said he deserved all three. He received a direct appointment from Master Sergeant to 1st Lieutenant in 1969, and was awarded the Medal of Honor by President Richard M. Nixon at the White House in 1971. His other awards for valor include the Distinguished Service Cross - our nation's second highest award, the Silver Star - the third highest award, and numerous lesser decorations including eight Purple Hearts. He received his decorations for valor for actions while serving as an NCO (Sergeant First Class).

"Wounded 14 times in 54 months of combat duty in Vietnam,
Robert Howard was awarded 8 Purple Hearts and is believed
to be the most decorated living American"

Godspeed Sir.

Suck. Bet that shit got expensive at clothing sales. Although at that point, they should just give you the stuff for your uniform.

Nineteen men have been awarded the Medal of Honor twice. Five of these men were awarded both the Army and Navy Medal of Honor for the same action. Since February 1919, no single individual can be awarded more than one Medal of Honor for the same action although a member of one branch of the armed forces can receive the Medal of Honor from another branch, if the actions for which awarded were under the authority of the said branch. The maximum number of Medals of Honor earned by any service member has been two. There has never been a recorded case of a service member receiving three or more Medals of Honor.

Funny how some p.o.s. NFL player's predictable demise or doped up actress' death gets more press than this true American hero. WTF has happened to our country?

People can relate to some dumbass football player or a doped up actress a lot easier they can relate to a man full of courage, honor, and commitment. Those are qualities Americans (and people of the world) don't respect anymore.

Well, people relate to the qualities they see reflected in themselves. That's why we think this guy kicks ass, and most people think Paris Hilton is so hott. This board has people of quality.
