Fookin jury duty
So between closing on th ehouse and figuring when to move I find out that I have jury duty the week of june 29th. Apparently its where you call in so hopefully I dont need to come in for any of it.

Before you come unglued, call the clerk's office and see if you can get your service moved to another term of court. The number should be on your jury summons. Let 'em know you're not attempting to evade serving, just need a break on the date. Most of the time they're pretty flexible.

I got out of jury duty completely because I had a prior engagement. Just call them, fyi they may have you send in a letter as well, I had to.

I dream of getting to sit in on a good trial but they'd likely hand me my walking papers, as soon as they found out I moderate a Law and Highway Traffic Act forum

the case I got called for was a motorcycle vs car accident. So as a motorcyclist and well as an ER PA they would have tossed me quickly. I talked to one of the lawyers afterwards and he so much as said neither side would want me on a jury
