For sure. If it will shoot sub sonic ammo, it would be a great plinker. Is Joel647 on here?

I wouldn't pay more than retail for it. That's just me. You can get a new S&W AR15-22 for $450 and the Colt for $600 at Gander mountain. I'm downloading CDNN's catalog right now to see if they have any deals on the .22L's. I got the half off S&W AR-15. I got a boner.

The gun makes no sense.
A "Tactical" .22lr? What are you going to use it on, terrorist woodchucks? It won't be anywhere near as accurate as a Ruger 10/22, due to the shorter barrel (16.2" vs. 18.5"), and a trigger pull of 6.6-9.9 lbs. Plus, it costs twice as much. Also, sub-sonic ammo doesn't generally work very well in semi-auto's, and they aren't very accurate over any kind of distance. But, if you want to look like a bad-ass who can hit anything passed 20 yards, with a gun that constantly stove pipes, the Colt M4 Ops .22LR with sub-sonic ammo, is the gun for you. JC

Come on JC, Tell us what ya really think! LOL. Itsa toy. An expensive toy but to each his own. If you plink overall accuracy isnt a big deal, 30 rd mags are. Beverage containers beware...

Why buy a 1000cc when all you need is 100cc to move your fatass?

Edit: The guy who is thinking of buying it just had his HK USP compact stolen from his vehicle, actually the same person I posted about in the bank thread. It's been a shitty week for him, so he's replacing the USP and buying something fun to shoot for cheap. Last edited by Akilldema; 08-17-2010 at 11:46 AM.. |

I'm content with my old lever action Browning for target shooting though every once in a while the semi-auto Ruger with the composite stock comes out for some target action. That M4 is a bit beyond what I'd pay for a target shooter but that's just me since I'm pretty much done for a while.

As far as subsonic ammo goes My experience is as follows. The most common is Remington and it in my experience is terrible FTF is about 1 in 10. (this is running it behind a Gemtech Outback Silencer. The best domestic I have used is Federal Gold Subsonic a little harder to fine but with a FTF of about 1 in 75 with the work. Again I use this with a silencer so if it is going to fail to function it will there
