Thanks! Been a pretty good year for travel. Unexpected too, which makes it even better.

I really wish I had a better camera for that. I posted only a small fraction of the pictures I have of the sunrise and some would be stunning without the grainy appearance. Guess that's what I get for using a point and shoot...

This is a 2-way street and often times there is not a guardrail on the cliff side. Some areas it's at least a 6-800 ft. sheer drop to the valley floor. The switchbacks are intense and vary from 5-15mph for about 40+ miles:



And for all of you still thinking Earth is round, I submit proof otherwise. There's even a parking lot at the end:
