Garmin 780 vs 765T
Hey fellas, anyone use the either of these units? The 780 is an older model that retailed for $700 but is clearance for $200 and the 765T is on sale for $250. Both seem to have a butt load of features including MSN, blue tooth, Mp3 playback, ect.... Does anyone have first or second hand experience with either of these models? I took a job that requires A LOT of driving and my current GPS is a bit long in the tooth.

I have a 780. The only problem is it has a big special connector for the power cable and what not. I haven't found an "actual" ram mount for the gps but have seen the words "fits 780". Well I like to see exactly what it looks like. LOL
If you need pics I can up load some. |

Works good I guess. LOL. I havent really used it much since it locked up on itself. I bought it off of ebay and a month later it ask for a code to be entered. I need to call garmin up and see what the dealeo is.
I got it cause it plays mp3's and has a 3.5mm jack. I have to buy a new battery for it since the previous owner (car rental place) just leaves them plugged into the 12v outlet which just kills the battery. |
