Ok, I admit to not reading all the links, just the one on "What is...", but it looks like just another name for a high functioning autistic person. So, in that case, not ridiculous... what did I miss?

There is doubt that there is much, if any difference between asperger's and high functioning autism.

I've been told that Bill Gates has asperger's. Makes sense, he's socially clumsy, but his IQ is higher than your average bear's.

My son is officially diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome. It is on the Autism "Spectrum". I'm not sure what that site is. Looks like Heaven's Gate meets Autism. I wouldn't take it to seriously.

I can assure you that Aspergers is real. The cause it publically unknown, but both medical researchers and governmental officials feel that there may be very tangible links with mercury based preservatives in large lot childhood vaccinations.

The statistic is that 1 and 130 are born with Autism of some sort.

Yeah, went back and looked at the site again... I didn't click any of the links, but based on the description leading up to the link, it was out there in that la la land zone... The what is link was fairly informative though for someone that knew nothing about the syndrome

I just dont buy it. Sounds more like an excuse for kids to sit on their ass and claim their obbsession with WOW is rationalized by a self prescribed condition.

well come to think of it im really not fond of light, noise, OR pain. kind of like the rest of society, i prefer a calm, peaceful environment, preferably pain free. Check.

so i pretty much just diagnosed myself and about 99 percent of this forum with aspergers. that is of course unless you lead a happy life and dont need an excuse as to why you are socially retarded and have some sort of strange star wars fetish. No i dont want to hear you quote lines from episode 32 of star trek.

saying you are a "high functioning autistic" person is kinda like saying you're just a "low functioning regular" person.



For the record. I'm mainly focused on the way the website depicts the, uh, whatever you call it.

I work with mentally retarded patients, patients with alzheimers, suicidal patients, and autistic patients daily, and i have all the patience in the world for them.

go read some more into that website. check out the page where it begins to explain how aspergers people are actually genetically superior to regular people. Or how aspergers people are capable of creating a perfect utopia of only they could buy australia.
