Default Camera Guru's in here.

So I was going through a bag of my wife's grandfather who passed away a few yeas ago and inside the bag was lots of old camera equipment. What I found was:

Canon AE-1 SLR with 50mm lens - mint condition. (circa ~1978)
Tokina 35-200mm lens - mint condition
Flash
Various Filters
Film changing bag - brand new condition
Another lens that I don't remember the manufacturer or size but the same length as the 35-200mm.

Also:

Ihagee Dresden Exacta VX with 50mm Zeiss lens- SLR in very good condition with original leather case.(circa 1954)
Waist level finder
Additional 50mm lens(I think)

Can I sell any of this stuff or is it all junk? I'm not much of a camera person outside of a point and shoot although I did take a photography class and I know how to use this equipment but I don't really have the desire to.

I'm not very familiar with SLR's.. especially the older models.... but I know that glass (the lenses) if they're higher end, can still fetch a decent amount.

I would do some research on some photography forums stick to the SLR and not DSLR ones though... and maybe even the antique photography forums

I have the same camera and both lenses. In the 80's, I needed a tough case to hold my camera equipment while hiking in the field. I gutted a fishing-tackle box, padded it, and put in my camera and lenses. While working in southern AZ, someone broke into our truck and stole a bunch of equipment. They left my camera case thinking it was fishing tackle.

Took a million pictures with the AE-1, but I haven't used it since I got a digital. The auto-focus and point-and-shoot have made me lazy, but I used to develop my own black and white slides. And my friend had over $10K in developing and enlarging equipment. He couldn't sell it for $100, so he gave it away. I'll keep my Canon in case I find some use for it.

I don't know anything about the Ihagee, but that AE-1 is pretty decent. My dad had one several years ago.
Sounds like a pretty good setup for someone looking to try non-digital SLR photography.

After googling the Ihagee...wow... sweet looking piece of vintage photography equipment.
