don't watch NASCAR or car racing at all but this article made me laugh a little.

I suspect that no one (or man at least) really cares at all if Patrick actually wins, any more than they did for Anna Kournikova.

People want females to succeed in motorsports so badly they coddle them until they don't know anything. They get to higher levels and have no idea how they got there. It's the precious little snowflake syndrome--we pave our playgrounds with Nerf and then wonder why our kids freak out over "trauma" that would barely have registered a generation ago.

What's funny is that there are plenty of men who have raced for years, and have not had near the success she has, even though they know their way around a car much better...Yet, they don't get their own thread...
