tire dilemma
ok, i got a problem
i have the cali trip in may, and i need to figure out what to do with my tire situation: just put a new M3 rear on just got a set of Pilot races M2 just got a contiforce max front my ideal situation is the contimax matched up with the m3 would last the cali trip and i could just switch out the mixmatch set for the pilot races for the gap trip and go from there, thoughts ideas name calling.... anything the pr m2 are take offs and dont think they are going to last more then the rally and i hope to god it doesnt rain for the rally |

buy another set of wheels, it works well unless you screw up and take the good dry track tires to a soaking wet track and leave the better wet tires at home.

your plan sounds solid, just be nice to that rear until its time to leave in may. thats a good idea, i never considered a second pair of wheels already fitted and balanced. |

That's what I did, it works well for keeping track tires at the ready.

do you know how hard it is to be nice to a rear with a RC51, serisouly?, with that much power on tap? its not even fair to tease with such thoughts
it is nice to get free tire changing |

no i dont, i have an I4 and the closest thing i will ever own to a twin sportbike will be a daytona 675... unless i decide a ducati is worth the money down the road.
but you'd better plan on putting a new tire on just in case. |

i am, but god knows what will happen between now and then, if i ride down to TN in april i prolly wont have the tread or life left to complete the cai trip on them, atleast the cali trip will be mostly easy touring miles

easy touring??
You just said you can't be nice to the rear on the RC... I don't think "easy" describes anything on the RC, except wheelies and drinking gas. |
