BMW Demo Truck

Well, I'm on with the fleet again this year - any interest in knowing where it will be from time to time? This year there are a few S1000rr and HP2Sports added to the bike-count to try out.

So far this month:
Ventura BMW [California] Demos for two weekends. The weekend of the 20th and the weekend of the 27th. I'll be there the 27th.

Is there a calendar somewhere that can be checked for upcoming locations? Any East coast dates planned?

Demo Truck = bikes available to ride. Show Truck = bikes to look at [usually race events]

Events pop up through the year - some with as little as a week's notice. There are two semi trucks that travel the country - one on each coast. Though, last year they had both at Miller for WSBK for the unveiling of the S1000rr.

Maybe you can explain the HP2 Sport to me.

It is 100hp, but cost $10K over the cost of an S1000RR($17.5K vs $26K).

I really like the bike, but for that money I can buy an 1198S that is 10 times the bike.

It's for those that drank the BMW Blue Kool-aide. Fit and finish - no metal in the rear sub-frame, adjustable rear sets, full Ohlins - basically the bike is upgraded to the N'th degree with carbon fiber goodness.

It's a niche market bike... and torque is yummy.

Zoomie you might end up here by us. they bring the demos to milwaukee usually.
