My new ride
Just don't have time for the streets anymore. So I decided to find a cheap track only bike. Here is the listing I found.
1998 Suzuki GSXR600 Yoshimura RS-3 Full exhaust system DynoJet kit installed. Runs GREAT on 93 octane pump-gas, but I understand it probably was run on U4 race-gas in the past. K&N Air Filter Battery replaced in 2007. NRC Case Covers Frame sliders Penske Twin-Clicker Rear Shock Professionally reworked stock internals in front fork in ’05 with fresh fluid Braided front brake lines Fresh front brake fluid, May-08 EBC HH Brake pads all around (new, May-08) EBC ProLite front rotors Dunlop Sportmax Qualifier DOT tires. Probably needs a new rear tire before it's taken back to the track. Front tire has 1 Barber trackday on it. Cheetah Bodywork (bodywork is real rough, several repairs, paint’s not that good, but workable – hey, it’s a track-bike!) Race fairing stay. ProTek Rear-sets 45 & 47 tooth rear sprockets (47 is currently mounted and perfect for Tally and Barber) Big box of spares (not even sure what’s in there, but for sure have complete carb set, case covers, front brake master cylinder, dyno-jet additional jets) Spare lower fairing Spare Superbike tail (has a small crack in it, but usable or repairable) Extra rear rim with cush drive (tiny bend in lip, but runs true and balances with no issues) Original complete stock exhaust system in excellent condition. Drilled for safety wire all-around. Oil drain, filter, and filler, plus front brakes are currently wired. Flushed coolant and replaced with WaterWetter in Nov-2007. Front and Rear-stand set goes with it, if you want them. Picked it up last Saturday. Here is a short vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D2iDGWv831I |

Awesome. But how can you say you dont have time for the street. The track takes more time than just commuting or crusing the neighborhood. Not knocking...but hey.
Great pick up. Have fun.

I don't have much time for street... around here.. it takes just as long (or longer) to get to any decent roads as it does to get to a track. I'd rather trailer out the night before, get a good nights sleep in the car, and ride as hard as i want to without having to worry about debris, cars, horse poop, cops, etc

Thanks. Let me clarify. I used to ride a lot of afternoons. I don't have time for that anymore. Plus, I can schedule the track days at the first of the year around my daughter's schedule. PLUS, I would just rather have 5-6 weekends of intense MC fun than to just get a couple of hours on the road every now and then.

Nice pickup buddy. I bet you got that thing for a song. Good deals on track bikes are very easy to find.

I likes it! Looks and sounds clean and ready to play! Don't think the dog cares much for it though. Are you able to slide any on that seat?
