Maybe I'll be riding again by July
Hurt my right shoulder at work in March. Never got better so I went to the dr. After a motion/strength test, a MRI was ordered.
MRI shows one torn tendon and another has a partial tear. Need surgery to repair. Have an appointment with the surgeon on the 29th to see what he suggests. damn Jeff UPDATE Turns out I tore the end of one tendon right off the bone. Surgery on May 14 and then I get to spend 6 weeks in an immobilizer sling before starting rehab. I think summer will be ending by the time I'm cleared to ride Last edited by '73 H1 Triple; 04-29-2013 at 07:26 PM.. |

I had a different issue that had to be fixed so it may be different, but in my experience shoulder surgery hurts like a bitch. It sucked huge but I really couldn't avoid it. Good luck with yours.

As much as that is going to suck, it's worse trying to do stuff with a "arm and a half". It has to be fixed and I'll do my best with rehab. Just have to man up and do it to get back to 100% |

Mine was for a seriously torn labrum and for a month after the surgery I literally couldn't do anything with that arm. It was in a sling all the time and the only way I could sleep was in a recliner so my arm would be propped up. I don't like taking pills either, never bothered to fill the prescriptions I was given after my dislocations, but I took every last pill they gave me after the surgery. After that there was 2 months of PT where doing a reverse fly or row laying down with a 2.5lb weight would make my shoulder feel like it was on fire.
Ultimately though it was something I had to do and I would guess my shoulder is now at 90-95%. It doesn't really bother me, it just reminds me occasionally that it was pretty screwed up. |

Broke my Left Tib/Fib going on 2 years and it was the worst 3 months of my life. Rehab was a motherfucker and it made me appreciate being a healthy young male. But it's funny...I thought I wish i had a arm injury rather than not being able to walk...Having one leg seemed way worse than one arm.
Though I did play ALOT of video games...probably wouldnt have been able to do that had it been an arm/shoulder injury. Heal up quick and take it easy
