who's got a maid and how often?
so we got a maid to come to the house for the first time last week. $70 a visit (considereing the size of the house thats a great price), and she has a 2x a mos. min. she did a GREAT job and it was nice to come back from vac. to a clean house.
thing is, we are pretty neat people and i would say our is very clean for a house w/ a 3 y.o. anyways, i;m not sure if we really need her 2x mos. how often does your come over and what do you pay?

I do not have a maid because we clean up after ourselves... you filthy bastard.
However, your maid stops by once a month to pick up random items to place in your house. Just last week she picked up 3 pounds of cat poop, a bag of snot rags and and a bottle full of fresh love ick that she puts in you milk. You never notice a teaspoon of spackle in a gallon of milk. |

Basically the same as yours. I was paying $75 per visit (every other week) for a lot less square footage but I had three floors to clean so I felt that all those stairs justified the money. Then I found out my sis-in-law was paying her maid $10/hour! Twice a month seems like a lot if you are clean people but let it go longer than that and you'll start to notice things deteriorate pretty quickly (ring around the toilet, dust on TV, etc.). Now, my fiance does my cleaning. Only cost me $5k per month. |

Maid? What's that? We clean up after ourselves and don't live like pigs. Do a really good cleaning every now and then when we feel the house could use it (or after guests leave, like we did this weekend.)

Mine is $100 per hour and comes over whenever the wife isn't home. She doesn't do around the world, but I never last that long anyways...
