how good you have it..
Sometimes I forget I have it, I bitch and moan about working too much, don't have enough money... blah blah....
But then I stop look at the garage, see the buell almost paid off already, realize my job is throw a party at a college town, teach at a good college while getting my masters and I have my health... This year is my year to remember how good I have it and to give thanks to friends and family |

Good call, I feel like money is tight this month but thats because I want to sink a bunch into my track bike, tires, suspension and bodywork.
Iguess if thats my major complaint its not that bad. Still got to pay off the buell and the dreaded mortgage, but thats where this side gig has been a godsend for us. Helped us get the house faster and not need to tap retirement money for the downpayment, afforded me some new toys, and will help us get stuff done witht he house. |

I'm thankful I made an extra grand over the past two months and didn't have to do anything. Plus my job's going great now and I have a back up job incase I decide to leave lighting. I get to see my family for almost a month and all my college friends from back home. My nephew's doing a lot better and my gma is finally in a nursing home where she can get the care she needs.
I'm so thankful for this year and my family and friends. Plus I'm getting a new car soon! |

Yeh I'm thankful that I live in america where i get to be a selfish bastard and not care about how crappy life is in the rest of the world. I mean come on, is anyone else out there annoyed with the UNICEF commercials of starving african kids? I think its more insulting that they try and guilt me into spending $1 a day to save some village that would otherwise be anally raped and pillaged. Maybe if I actually believed that more than 2% of my $1 went to help the anally raped starving kids I might care but all the donations really do is fund the company to accept more donations.

I came to this realization a year ago... along with how trivial a lot of things are... how little things I used to obsess about really matter in the big scheme of things.
I'm much less stressed because of it. dunno if I'm happier... but with out the stress I feel much better. |
