Default Bought A Douche/Mid-Life Car...

A 2000 Ford Mustang Gt drop top. Very clean, runs good. I haven't brought it home yet but I put a deposit on it Fri. $7500 out the door.

Pics from the website, I should have taken some on the test drive.

her uncle and my brother in law are both professional mechanics, it wasn't from a lack of maintenance. The car was a piece of shit. It developed this weirdvibration issue about 10000 miles into her ownership and we took it to Ford and they pretty much told us it's just something you have to live with and a common issue.

Oh I wasn't implying that it was your fault... I'm saying that I can fix pretty much any problem the car will have... Out of curiosity, did you take it to more than one dealer? Not all mechanics are made equal you know... The car has 80,000 miles on it so I'm well beyond the teething issues you guys are talking about.

Yeah we did, we got a lemon. It was the car she always wanted and it was my nightmare. I was so happy when she agreed to trade it in for a new Accord. Now I don't have to do much of anything anymore because she has a reliable car.

Her's wasn't a teething issue, she bought it with 50k on it already.

I had a 99 (first year of that model); at about 8,000 miles, the transmission ate itself. Replaced under warranty, but still a pain in the ass.

nice car. I actually like that body style myself. I've had a couple friends that had that style with very few problems.
