Insight on "kids these days"...
I think he's spot on.
From Coach Frank Martin in the below article: "You know what makes me sick to my stomach? When I hear grown people say that kids have changed. Kids haven’t changed. Kids don’t know anything about anything. We’ve changed as adults. We demand less of kids. We expect less of kids. We make their lives easier instead of preparing them for what life is truly about. We’re the ones that have changed. To blame kids is a cop out." http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketb...n-martin112210 He describes many of the parents we see out there today. In their hopes of creating a "better" childhood for their kids they have pandered to them. I'd personally love to be rid of that bullshit. Let's all do away with trophies for simply participating and teach our children that to have a winner there has to be a loser - to WANT to win, not just show up.

A-fucking-men.. spot on for sure.. I totally agree and I pander to no-fucking-body.. I will put my kids toe to toe with any kid out there and I guarantee they are nothing like the little spoiled fucking punks that most parents are raising and put on a pedestal.. I don't give the kids one millimeter.. They do what needs to be done or they know the consequences.. Doesn't mean I am a complete asshole to them just I am a parent first and a friend second.. Sometimes its a hard thing to do but in the overall scheme of things it is was is best long term..
