Keith Olbermann on mayor Quan
I can't say that I even know who he is. But, he was definitely well spoken in making his point.

Olbermann is one of the most eloquent political commentators we have down here.
He was on MSNBC, but he had a tendency to fly off the handle at times, and now languishes in the relative obscurity of Current, which has basically no viewers to speak of. JC

The point is, his "eloquence" is lost on me when he starts with the crazy eyes and foaming at the mouth style diatribes. I think he's aiming for a "style" something more like Jon Stewart....unfortunately, he comes across as someone more like Avatard to me. |

Oakland has plenty of well-to-do sections, so he certainly doesn't speak for all of them.
I can think of more than one conservative broadcaster who is like that too. |

He also went off on The Mayor of Toronto, Rob Ford. He quoted the CBC reports, which had changed somewhat since the initial reports, but he didn't bother to update himself before making his comments. It appears that the comments, that he quoted, were quite incorrect and that the CBC report was based on rumour, not fact.
It's unusual for the CBC to be this wrong, as they generally triple check their sources, but in this case it appears that they screwed up badly. Even Toronto's Chief of Police, who doesn't have a lot of reason to protect the mayor at this point given what is happening with his budget, said that the 911 recordings say nothing like what Olbermann reported in his "worst person" segment.
