Tape and Zip ties.
Lets face it. we all love the look of shinny parts and sleek corners, but when it comes down to it nothing beats the look of self fab'd parts. Zip ties and duct tape got me home from Tennessee last year... If I've spent 2k on new parts for my bike and 20 dollars on zip ties and duct tape, it seems the thing im always glad i have is the later.

Every bike I've owned has had zip ties holding something on.

The guy that previously owned my bike lost about 1/3 of the fairing screws on the entire bike. It was all held together by zip ties....
And I hated that. First thing i did was snip those damn ties and rip the fairings off.....

Coming from the rock crawling world, this statement could not be truer. I much preffer building, rather than buying on most items but am quickly learning that it's not as easy on bikes.

I showed the wife a while back where the bag of assorted zip ties were in the tool box and she's gone zip tie crazy !! I'll need a new bag not too far in the future.

At first I was expecting a Dark Alley thread... I'm disappointed.
