Needs More Hot Sauce

Some guys from work went to an authentic Mexican place for lunch. The menu was in Spanish. One guy saw they had 'beef' and 'extra tender beef' tacos, so he figured he'd pony up a few extra pesos and get the extra tender. Turns out it was cow face; he found out as they were leaving.

It is... it's called barbacoa, and it makes damn good tacos.

Barbacoa isn't just the face, it's how they cook meat over a pit with an open flame. It could be sheep or anything else. Basically Mexican Barbeque.

Down here it's mostly beef cheek meat, and it's not open flame cooked.
It's either cooked in the ground, in an oven that simulates that method, or some people steam it down.

Same here. Beef tongue tacos are fantastic as well.
