Holy Shit 2,670+ feet tall. That is almost TWICE the height of the WTC. Unbelieveable.

I am sitting near the top of a tall building as I post this and it's a little over 800 feet tall so that building has to be a trip !!

There is a second one going up too that is in competition with this one. Both their final heights are top secret. Dubai is crazy. My parents use to live there. First 6 star hotel, that crazy indoor ski slope, biggest mall, biggest theme park, man made islands like palm trees and the world. This place is running out of oil fast and they are trying to become the tourist destination of the world to keep the economy going.

It really is amazing. That area being developed, including the tower, is supposed to cost around $20 billion. That is more than the channel tunnel. At least they are spending the oil money the rest of the world pays them on something to try and sustain themselves. It seems the rest of that region would rather blow it on palaces, yachts, cars, and planes for the royalty.
