If it was an "accident"...WTF are they doing LOADING a rifle in the house...????
If they family gave a ten-year old a rifle (nuttin wrong wit dat.. I had my first 22 at 5)...wtf are they not locking up the ammo for??

Had my rifle at 5, first thing my old man taught me was safety, then cleaning, then safety.....only time I ever saw ammo was when we went to the dump (Northern Minnasotaese for "shooting range"....rats were Northern Minnasotaese for "targets".....).

Even though I had a magazine, I got one round "issued" to me at a time. That way I got to learn to make every shot count (though it looks like this kid DID do that), learned range safety: the drill was; set up, clear weapons and range, go downrange a mount targets, go back to shooting position, clear range, load, shoot one shot, clear weapons and range, tramp back down to targets, evaluate, tramp back to shooting position, clear range, ...yada, yada yada...

I learned to shoot well and safety, otherwise my old man would get pissed if I started to waste shots and pack us up and go home. My uncle once grabbed a new Bennelli Citation shotgun from some a-hole that didn't have any "muzzle awareness" and was wandering around pointing it at everybody. When he protested that it wasn't loaded, my uncle grabbed it from him, popped it open, and out flew a live round...that nice Bennelli went into the lake and they threw the guy out of the shooting club.....

Needless to say, that kind of stuff made an impression on me.....

Be nice. This isn't far from home for me. I dated a guy from Big Prairie.

Just goes to show that caliber doesn't matter, but shot placement does.

The point that he doesn't appreciate quality fire arms?

Nothing to do with location, every state has some...

Damn. I really hope it wasn't intentional.
