Bike Key with a Metal Ring and the house key and shed key on that...three keys but it lays right on the nut for the Bars...Kinda hard to explain but it doesnt scratch the bike.

I have a separate ring for my bike so that I can keep all the keys for the cable and disk lock with me. I have a little clip that releases the ignition key so that I can keep the ring in my pocket while ridding.

Ignition key, disc lock key and house key on a soft key fob for me. I don't give a shit about scratching the triple tree or the handlebar. The bikes get scratched sooner or later.

All I have is the bike key with a ring, my spare key is on a ring with my car keys, though.

Key only, no ring or any other keys attached.

Key with a Harley soft fob. Thats it. House keys stay in the tank bag.

Note the side of the bike:

What do you do, or do you say to hell with it and keep them both seperate in your pocket?
My bike key is the only key on it's ring, with a soft rubber keyfob. We've got a garage keypad so I don't typically carry a house key, but if we're going to be out all day, or there's any chance of storms (where we might lose power) then I clip a housekey into my backpack, just in case).

They do make rubber covers for the top part of keys, and then you can also get sleeves for the narrower part. Basically a key condom. But between those two things, you could protect it pretty well from scratching stuff.

My key stays on its own keyring with a metal keychain shaped like tinkerbell. She brings me luck, and even being metal, neither that keychain nor any other has ever scratched up the bike.
