The sea of sandbags, waiting to be hauled out.
Trucks prepped to roll, if needed Contingency dike... Just in case... The armory. Soldiers eating and just waiting around, at the ready. Blackhawk airlifting sandbag "bombs" into place. Dropped 11 of these 1000 lb "bombs" on a dike breach to fix it up. Me and my crew. |

From a trip back from up north delivering sandbags. These are taken on I-29 southbound between the Grafton exit and Manvel exit.

Cutty... keep up the good work. The service you are providing for those people up there is a God's Sent. I will tell you RIGHT NOW. The military up there... you are saving their asses, doing it well, and making it look so easy. My hats off to you!!
Also GREAT pics of the action! |

that's cause it is! That's why we have the probs we do with overland flooding, once a river breaks it's banks, it just goes and goes. Only thing slowing it down are roads.

Well, they are talking about pulling us all back in on Monday for round 2
Second crest is supposed to hit somewhere between the 16th and 18th. Guess we'll see what happens. Hope we at least get Easter in peace. |

Thanks.
And now by the sounds of it my easter plans are fucked. They want me to come in all weekend and sit on my ass doing nothing. I'm going to try to talk my way out of it. |
