I think you'd be better off with a different bike.

I'm not that familiar with the 650 but you don't see too many of them on the track....there's a reason.

I would stay away from a 650 for track purposes, you will have good corner speed, but you if you think getting passed by straight line queens riding 1000s on a 600 is annoying, wait til you try it on a 650. For the price, I would just go with a wrecked 600. More parts, easier to sell. You will be hard pressed to get rid of a 650r track bike with no title/salvage title.

I forgot to mention that if, like others have noted, the suspension can't be adjusted....what the HELL are you going to do with that thing on the track??? Steer clear!

Again, PENSKE rear shock, RACE TECH emulators and TRAXXION springs with preload adjustable caps.

I could spend $3000 getting any bike to where this one is.

Ya but you're still going to be left with a 650R track bike?

Lack of a title is not uncommon. It could be stolen, or it could have been crashed in a state that would not allow for salvage titles or retitling, its very common for track bikes not have a title or be registered.

You could check on carfax, sometimes they have motorcycles info on there.

It does have some good upgrades, but perhaps you could save cash and have a bit more piece of mind if you did pick up a beater gsxr. The good thing about that bike at the track is if you crash, theres usually a few people who have spare parts to donate and get you running again!

Get what you want, opinions are like assholes...

I dont see the appeal of a 650R either, but whatever floats your boat, guy.

yeah, the 650r is a great street bike, but when you are on the track with a bunch of other idiots that cant take a corner and have much more powerful bikes in the straights, you begin hating life because all the work you did in the corners to get by them goes to shit in one straight.

Ya I'd highly recommend an SV ahead of the 650 but like everyone else said....whatever floats your boat.

I just feel like you're getting swayed by it being a good deal and all. Maybe I'm wrong. If you want a track bike, figure out what's important to you and find a bike based on what YOU want....not just because you stumbled across what seems like a good deal.
