After a fairly clear morning full of frozen rain the snow is starting to fall again as of an hour ago, and we already have 2" of new snow here

The last two years here beat previous records for snowfall for 130 years. This year, not even close.

But to get to the point, my family argued last year that 'we got twice this much snow when we were kids'

but, the facts say they didnt. But as a little kid, everything seems like more. I remember Karl saying you guys had record snowfall there either last winter, or the one before too. (not sure which it was)

Toronto doesn't get nearly as much as Ottawa or Montreal do. Even Hamilton gets a tonne more; mostly lake effect. We've gotten piss-all snow since the big one in '98/'99.

For the record when I was a kid, I can remember having to climb out a second story window of our house on PEI, because the front door was blocked.

Only over there
It's not THAT bad over west. Though I did have to drag a car out of a snowbank. Was on my way to look for a part for the snowblower and couldn't get there because it's way the hell back in the fields and a little Sunfire was stuck.
