I put the 2.8 engine in, street tires, dropped suspension, aluminium shock towers and upgraded the A arms to be street friendly, otherwise it just flips when you want to turn. I also used shorter shocks with fuel tubing as bump stops to keep it from scraping too much. it was good for small jumps and just acting foolish on the street, but it still got its ass handed to it every time by the hpi rally car.

I'll have to agree, I have over $3000 just in those two trucks

They are fun though

This is my Nitro Rustler(it WAS new) and my Blackfoot during the resto. My Rustler has seen better days since then lol

I use to race them some. Had 1/10th scale truck. That shit just gets waaay too expensive. Infact I've seen more A/C race trailers at R/C races than I've seen at local circle track races.

I still have The Traxxas Nitro Boat (forget the name) in the garage.

I sold off everything else.

I was pretty big into nitro racing about 8 or 9 years ago. I had a few 1/10 scale trucks and buggies. Also had an HPI RS4. My T-Maxx was my main toy at the time. I probably had $2000 in it before I got rid of it.

Never did get into the 1/8 scale buggies but have thought about picking one up recently.

1/8 buggies are a whole nother world, more durable, faster, and a little more fun. Whats really cool, is if you do the truggy conversion, they will go over just about anything, and are still fairly quick

I was always a heli guy myself. I use to have a Trex 450 and various other copters, but sold em after spending way too much $$$ to repair it all the damn time. Don't ever get into heli's. Only one I still got a little indoor co-axial heli that is fun to play with and real cheap to repair. Lama that has been customized with all the extreme stuff. It looks like this:
