In 101lifts2 defense, an early k-car in mint condition is kinda cool.
especially if it is a woody.

So what is the point if it's not a Turbo or GLH?

You talking a base Omni or Shadow or Reliant? Some POS like that?

They are crude and noisy cars, with thin paint and an ugly bare-bones interior. They become acceptable only with a powerful engine.

It was a Reliant with power everything. The seats are comfy and the fuel economy is good plus it's reliable.

The Chrysler turbos leaked too much oil and were prone to head gasket issues. No thanks.

Maybe...but during the 80's suckage was the norm and there was no more shame to driving a k-car than driving a Celebrity or tempo.

Actually, I gave my bro a Cavalier wagon of that era, and it was one of the "cockroach cars", you just couldn't fucking kill it.
