Oh I understand and I honestly appreciate the concern! Oh and I'm not saying that it's impossible by any means. One good thing about this place is that there is only one entrance/exit and I live in the last building of 12 so you have to drive by all of these potential witnesses, steal my bike and drive back past all of these people to get out onto a very busy street btw. Again anything is possible but to steal my 5 year old bike...

As long as you aren't too worried about it. On the 5 year old bike thing, mine is 10 years old and not in great shape. People still come up to me thinking it is new. People who don't know bikes really don't know bikes.

About ten years ago, companies actually did pay you to drive around with their logos, etc. on your car. There was a specific website that you could go to and register/apply. It paid something like 300 to 400 per month, depending on where you lived, drove, parked, etc. Not sure if this still occurs or not.

I think I understand how you feel, a little. Years back, the company that built this town went bankrupt. Their assets were sold off, including this complex. Slowly, over the last decade, the old residents have been moving out and the property management company has been renting to anyone who said that they would pay the rent. The idea of vetting tenants went right out the window.

Since then, they've started having trouble with people failing to pay rent and having to be evicted, or have done midnight moves one step ahead of the boot. My neighbours, on one side, are constantly making so much noise that I think they're going to come through the walls. The neighbours, on the other side, have been there for a year but still have bed sheets covering most of their windows. One door over from that there's a kid who dumped broken beer bottles in my yard, last weekend, and this weekend I found a couple of bottles rigged up as crack pipes (hole in the bottom and burnt tinfoil over the neck).

It's obviously not as bad as you're dealing with. My advice is get the hell out.

In my mind, and I'm sure the gun nuts will disagree, but when you start shooting farther than that you're no longer talking "personal defense". I'm not anticipating going into a "gun battle" with this thing...

Anyway, I think I'm going to go this way and load it with a 410 shell of 7.5-to serve as a "warning", a couple of the 410 00-to make it more real and finish it off with two 45s. Either that or all 410 00/000 buck shot I'm not sure yet. My GF has permits as well and she's might get one too. We're going to go shopping next week but we both have law enforcement contacts that claim to be able to hook us up with one in the $350-400 range, so we'll see.
