R.I.P. Bill

Even though I have not talked/rode with him in a few years, I probably knew him better than anyone on here or CF.

I have ridden with him quite a few times, all over San Diego and up in Riverside a few times(although I never did ride Ortega with him), Palomar Dragstrip ect. One of the very few pics of him I can't find right now, but he came down to San Diego quite a few years ago and rode with me and Homeslice. Great ride. I even bought one of his bikes, which he gave me a GREAT deal on.

Bill was very well spoken and educated, even though he pissed some people off here and on CF a few times, if you knew him, it was all in good fun. He gave me tons of advice, from motorcycles to nutrtion/health...and he would not hesitate to help others(who he did not even know) out in those areas. One thing I can say is, most of us go through spells where we need to take a break from rididng. Bill never did, he was as passionate about motorcycles in the 10 years or so I knew him. He was a true motorcyclist.

No, don't merge, all the different conversations would get confusing.

I was told he was going back to Chicago, but things may have changed. Thanks for posting.

Keep me updated on that. I know my GF is going back to Chicago this weekend and I was staying here for work/school. If it is in Chicago then I may cancel work and fly up with her and pay my respects.

I still can't believe it. Every time I see this thread or a post on FB it just seems unreal.
