Default Full Suit

Ok so I'm thinking about buying a full leather suit,I tossed the last one I had- way old! I don't want to spend too much because I'll probably wear 5 times total. So far here's what I have,

A* Octane in white/black for $499

http://www.newenough.com/closeouts/l...race_suit.html

Technic Chicane in black for $299

http://www.motorcyclecloseouts.com/h...e+42,+48+or+50

I'll probably drop the extra $200 on A* but we'll see...what do you all think?

I think that's the suit Trip and Fatburg have... Trip speaks very highly of it.

$200 would buy some extra gas for more riding.

I know a few people who've gotten the Chicane and liked it. I've read some good reviews on it, but I haven't read anything as to how it compares to the A*.

Doing a quick search on the A*, it seems to have a little bit better protection than the Teknic. The A* has CE armor and the Teknic has Teknic Armorshield...whatever that is.

True,I'm starting to lean towards the Technic because I'm cheap and doubt I'll wear it much.

I own the chicane suit. I love it. Comfortable, the airflow is is great and I can ride all day wearing it and not feel hot. It held up well through 2 wrecks, one was a slow lowside where I slid on my side and was able to walk out of the slide, and a highside where I slid into a curb and broke a few bones. Not a scratch on me though, and I truly think that the suit saved my ass from spending a few weeks in the hospital. None of the stiching broke.

The one spot that has worn more than expected is the velcro for the knee slider. I might have at one point worn through a slider and been rubbing the velcro against asphault, but all that happened bad was that the velcro got torn up a little. The zippers are all big ass metal zippers, on the front, both sleeves, and both legs.

Overall I highly recomend it. Great price for a very good suit. I'll try to take some pics of the damage areas in a few and post them
