Hopefully I never have to use them.

Other mods I want to do: Gold Pazzo levers, Carbon Fiber headlight bezels, and Carbon Fiber front pulley cover.

Also...White's HD/Buell called yesterday...my new headlights are IN!

The mods look great...I don't know what it is fall weather, moon phase, but I was looking at the XB12R today and wishing. I would love to grab one up before the 1125Rs replace them all together.

I think I really would enjoy owning one.

Yeah...it's only a matter of time before the XB's are out-ski's. And emissions is killing the air cooled engines.

First ride thoughts on the grips: I like them. They are much different in feel compared to the stockers. A good different. Much more comfortable.

Well I love old vibrating ineffiecient hulks and don't mind that odd quirks and idiosyncrasies that go along with it. Basically I want an old warbird feel. False romantisism I know, but an old radial engine in a sleek good handling airframe calls to me.

There is so much perfection to bikes these days. Flawless injection, stable and consistent handling, same exhaust note (at least the I4s), just no character.

Don't get me wrong I am not saying the Buell line is flawed, but it has character, it has individualty, it has style like bikes of old, you know your riding a mortorcycle not a 2 wheeled Honda Accord.

Yes it has it's quirks. Yes it has a ton of character. But don't think this isn't a refined motorcycle either. It's very easy to ride. The FI has a slight abrubtness right from closed throttle...and once past that it is all but flawless (when the engine is hot). Cold is a different story.

You should buy one.

Looks good, I know the DH sliders are on my shortlist too. Those grips help kill vibes at all? the 1125 don't vibe much, but everything helps.

So are your "new" lights HID's?

The vibes weren't bad before. These fit the hand a little nicer.

As for the lights...they are not HID's. Buell recalled the headlights. It's seriously dangerous to ride 30mph at night with these headlights.
