I don't think so. It all has to do with the hair trigger point made earlier. With the DA there is less likely a chance that there will be an accidental discharge. And those that have it should practice regularly to maintain the strength in the finger to pull it every time.

I like my glock 23 for a carry weapon 6 lb pull and trigger safety. Remember Hoot from Black Hawk Down? I feel the same way my finger is my safety never even touches the trigger till ready to pull.
