FS: HJC AC-12 Carbon Vader Size L
I'm thinking of selling my helmet since my insurance is covering the purchase of a replacement.
This helmet is HJC's absolute top of the line helmet, the AC-12 Carbon with Vader graphics. It's a size large, and the size can be tweaked to your face shape by purchasing replacement pads and cheek pads if necessary (newenough and other companies sell them). It's EXTREMELY light (within the top 5 lightest on the market behind a couple of the Shark models last time I checked) and very comfortable. Yes, HJC makes some cheap and shitty models with polycarbonate shells that are 100 bucks. This helmet is composite, expensive, high quality, and in a different class. This helmet was worn during a crash, but received no impact. It has a very small bit of rubbing on the breath vent from the crash, but it was an instant of sliding, no 'slam' occurred. This helmet is crash safe (I inspected the whole shell for spidering inside and out and, as expected, found none). I would continue to wear this helmet full time if it weren't for the fact that I can get a new one at no cost. It's a little dirty (bugs and such) in these shots but here are some pics: In this photo you can see the very slight breath vent damage (the reflection in the shield is just that: a reflection... there is no damage to the shield): This helmet retails for $420. Wholesale you can get it for about $300 since the model is from last spring. Initially I intended to keep it for a backup, but I'm broke so I'm willing to let it go for a fair price. It's in great shape and comes with a clear shield. Make me a reasonable offer. I can facilitate pickup in the Boston area, or ship if necessary.
