The loggers and the GSM still pisses me off. Made me remember that sign on the Skyway that describes how they cut down the old forest for as far as you can see. Also, the removal of the locals from the land and how other communities donated the little that they had to try to create it. Just simply amazing how it came to be.

That is is! When I was stationed in the Smokies the history was amazing. Wish I had a scanner I've got some amazing pics, maps and copies of documents from that time in history. It's crazy and very interesting some of the stuff that happens. As a former Ranger there I got a birds eye view of the 75th celebration. Amazing!! This year is the Parkways anniversary should be fun!
