I had an '81 Arctic cat Jag, 440 cc kawasaki engine, single carb. That tops out at 84 mph.

We used to run on Pecks Pond ( Poconos in PA ) and the Pen Argly race team had their drag sleds up there tuning.

We go screaming past them wound tight and they would time their launch when we were even. ( keep in mind I'm doing 80+ mph )

By the 1/8 mile mark , we would be even and they would still be carrying the skis up in the air past the 1/4 mile mark. Made me look like I was out there on ice skates
