Default SHO on the way (too REALLY slow sales)

Shame...Ford missed the point. At least they will have a halo model to keep in the showroom for the 2 years it will likely be on the market.

38K spells REALLY slow sales...even though it's a 365HP AWD car...not bad looking at that.

Brilliant. Sure, the GTO was a failure in the market, but only because it was too powerful for the money. Surely, if we sell a less powerful car for more money we'll succeed where GM failed!

Taurus.

It's built of the Lincoln MKS platform, so not hard to do the few mods to make it the SHO.
But yeah, give me a hook with that to give it a chance.

Mopar got it right with the Challenger SRT8 at least.

The 2010 Ford Taurus SHO will start at $37,995 when it goes on sale this summer. That's a lofty price tag for a Taurus, but not for a 365-hp, all-wheel-drive sedan stuffed with this much tech and luxury. The original SHO stickered for just under $20,000 in late 1988, which was also considered a big premium to pay for Ford's bread-and-butter family sedan.
As much as I feel that this car will fail miserably in the marketplace, I think that it looks like a good car. Having sat in Dodge products I don't think that Chargers \ 300c deserve to be put in the same league. The G8 does BUT for those who want AWD and cleaner styling the new SHO looks to be the better alternative.

With 500\Taurus, ford built a giant Passat. Now they have built a giant Audi.
I've been impressed with Ford vehicles after driving them for the past couple of years. Nice steering and handling...decent enough power. Apprantly they are making REALLY reliable cars compared to other manufacturers according to reports.

Though I prefer the original SHO because of manual transmission, the new one is like a poor mans A8.
