Default Some things, I have a hard time unerstanding

One thing that makes me scratch my head, for example, is the picture below.

We've been expanding the campus, over the last few years, since our new President got the job. Our profile, in the city, has been improved greatly by this guy, who coincidentally is also a rider. Mist of the buildings have been typical urban types, but with features that make them more environmentally friendly. For example our engineering building has big-ass windows, up front, but also has shades, sealed windows, and a 'green' roof to make it more efficient.

Then you have something like this. Mind you, the lighting for the walls uses LED tech, so it uses less energy than........... all of the other buildings with lit walls(?). It's going to look great, but I really just don't get it.

So are they going to change it every month according to mood, or do a rubik's cube with it?

No idea. It has multiple colours available, on each panel, and I've seen them testing it by switching the colour of a panel maybe 5 times a second. All of the panels were green, for St. Patrick's Day, last night through this morning.

*EDIT* It's our Image Arts building which, a loooong time ago, was the old O'Keefe Brewery.

Sometimes you do something like that because you can. Just because.

Trying to enlighten the city? Perhaps he is a mad scientologist rigging the building with the means to signal the mother ship when it returns to pick him up? Bum Bum Bum bum BUMMMMMMMM!

Arts building... campus... it's all coming together...

Regardless of all the 'go green' bullshit, you still gotta sell the school... so you need some cool shit. This, in some people's eyes, could be viewed as cool shit.
