with a garden hose, a can of brake cleaner and alot of elbow grease~!

brake cleaner is not good. Don't use it. You'll thank me later. Get a biodradable bike wash and use that.

i was talking about on the hard parts, not on the bike itself

I've read about too many people having brake issues after they use it on their bikes. I use Liquid Performance biodegradable Bike Wash on my calipers when I clean them. That, a hose, and a toothbrush make the pistons sparkle. The difference in braking is noticable as well.

I've always used Breakkleen... well on my truck... not on my bike... but anything that's metal (non painted of course) that I wanted really fuck'n clean... works awesome.... and rids you of those pesky brain cells too if your not in an extremely well ventilated area... like say a wind storm...
