Sportbikes were meant to be on the track. Just take it.

I agree with that Statement...I just would prefer to have a STreet Bike and a Track Bike...Not Both.

What happens if you drop in on the street? Looks like youre gonna have to go poser and just sit next to it at bike night instead of riding anymore.

Lol Id be equally as pissed off for dropping it.

I just feel like if I took it to the track I'd become overconfident and try and ride out of my ablities.

Something I dont do on the street.

Dude, it boils down to this, you either go to the track or you don't.

You can come up with a million reasons not to, easily. I don't want to crash my bike, I want to get some suspension work done first, I want to have track plastics first, I want race-tires and warmers, etc etc etc. If you don't really want to go you'll always have a good reason not to.

If you want to go, go. If you honestly want to become a track-addict like a couple of us on here, you'll figure out a way. If you don't, you probably never will.

Absolute truth right there! Anyone can get on the track if they want. I was a total hood rat/bum and managed to do track days. I found a cheap bike and only did the cheap days with used or borrowed leathers but I got out there. I seriously raked yards to make Grattan's "open track day" every Fall. I wasn't very good and my bike was outdated and a piece of crap (RZ350) but it was fun. Of course then I got a decent job and bought a nice bike (FZR1000) ,traded in my street bike ('88 V-Max I got cheap!)and got cleaned out but you all know that story already....

You know this won't make sense but it was actually MORE fun before I got a "competitive" bike. I used to wring that damn RZ's fucking neck baby!!!! I have some pics somewhere of me at Grattan (or Gingerman), I'll post them if I can find them AND my dumb ass can figure out how to scan them and put them up!!!

Hell yeah, I'd love to have an RZ to beat on at the track.

I think that's why the Supermoto is so much fun, it's light, and doesn't have a ton of power, but I can wring it's neck at the track.

Not me. That bike sucked! I'm WAY too old to be doing all that shifting! Jesus, the "power band" was about 2000rpms thick and above um 8 or 9000 I think.... FUCK THAT! I'd rather a SV650 or something like that.

Yeah, SV's are easier, but I'm

I love weird bikes, I'd love an old RZ.

Well,if I still had it I'd give it to you! It sat in my step mom's garage for years until she threw it out along with my free snow mobile and the home made go cart I was trying to build using an old Kawi enduro motor. BITCH!
