On the other hand, it's a lot like our local forum that is composed of a bunch of almost lifelong friends. There are almost zero fights and they all know everything about each other. You almost have to be "vouched" for by a long time member to even get noticed.
it all depends on how you start on that forum how they handle you. like I was asked if I was crazy or something when I brought up an oil topic as one of my first threads here. oh and I'm sure some aren't going to forget the jumping bikes thread.

that thread wasn't the one that really got the guy his name.

think about it. everything you hear about motorcyclists is they're like a family... and for someone who may not have many friends to hang out with... and has a motorcycle, the only prerequisite to this "family"... I can see him being very eager.

Like I said in my thread about my Bias against sportbikers... I do a monthly sit down with airmen about motorcycles... it's amazing some of the questions I get asked... most are about the bike... but many have a theme of wanting to be a part of a family... or elite group.
ok, you say it is what they would say. I know at 23 I would not have said that nor cared if someone else wanted to ride with me. to this day, I still don't care if someone don't want to ride with me, their loss not mine. it's only been the last 6 years that I had a regular riding buddy. I've been riding 20 years or so.

most families are at least slightly dysfunctional I know mine was. you have to take it and be able to dish it out a little to.

Just as much of a douche in person. The girlfriend falls into the elite group of "unfuckables." Heather, on of the girl riders on the forum (H2), said the reason the guy wants to ride so much is so he can have his helmet on to cover up his face.

same here... but people are different. I've long since stopped trying to figure out what drives people to do things... (used that spare time to figure out what drives ME)... all I'm saying is IMO and my experience... dude sounds like a classic case of someone who's trying to belong... to anything.

and yes... your right about families... but again... he's got those rose colored glasses and just thinks... damn they're cool and everyone likes bikes... ect...

Thats sad to hear...but after seeing all his blatant excuses and lies about the bike, I was definitely less than sympathetic to his plight... You tried, good job.

Uh....maybe? I don't remember that...

It was on Campbell. I never saw it in the daylight, so I am not sure

You don't know the half of it. I'm the mod for the law and highway traffic act sub-forum and I think that, at this point, I'm in a state of perpetually biting my tongue.
