By the way, your owners manual should clearly indicate how to change the bulb.....It's not hard at all. In fact I've never seen a bike where the bulb access point wasn't right in front of your face.

But I'm sure ya'll have to do a state income tax when you do your regular income tax.

I know how to work on my bike. I don't ride in the night hardly ever. The more I have to take off both sides, bottom front piece, wind screen, and front piece w/ headlight assembly off, the more I rest damaging them.

I'm just stating that people (no matter what state) get taxed in some form and it pretty much equals out.

But why do you have to get inspected? What's the point?

To make sure your vehicle is up to specs with the law and to collect tax money. We dont do state income tax here so you get taxed in other ways.

Some goes to roads, to the state, to the blank, etc

You guys get some things backwards. SF bans a constitutional right but feel that a old man has a right to do Yoga naked on a pier. Which it's California's business and not mine. Just seems that many laws in CA are based around what the local city hipsters and "progressives" feel is right. A lot of city people (based on people in Atlanta that I think would fit right in at Berkeley) ride cycles/scooters so you have to make them happy. I'm waiting for the day that cars are banned from roadways for bicyclists.

Do the people who inspect the bikes inspect the cars too? Do they get special training for bikes?

I think some car inspection places in Texas also do bikes, but I always go to a bike place I trust.

I have to say, the inspections in Texas do a pretty good job of keeping the clapped-out hoopties off the roads here. Better than the smog inspections did in CA when I lived out there.

that way they can sue the car company rather than the state when shit falls off and kills someone.

I hate inspections. They are bullshit for the most part. I get it, though. In fact, I gotta pick up my car from being inspected today.
