Wow, NBC just showed the video at the start of their opening ceremonies coverage. I'm amazed they showed it. There was no way to survive an impact like that.

Damn. RIP. This is just too sad. There was another article stating they had closed the track until further investigations could be done. His recorded speed was 89.44. Can you imagine? I just hope it was instant for his sake.

Hehe, I wasnt trying to bust your chops! Its just that we risk our lives everyday, why not risk it for something worthwhile. I am certain, like Isle of Mann/Mcau GP riders, Club roadracing ect. all these people know the risks, they dont want to die. When they do its is no less a shame, but werent they all trying to achieve their own ideal? Isnt that worth the price in the end?
