Dude, do you like live on the road or something? I put 210,000 on my first car but it took me like 3 years and I was driving quite a few miles every freakin' day.

How's the interior holding up on that thing?

70k miles per year! THAT is living on the road.

Congrats on the milestone, Jared.

How many miles were on her when you got it?

400k, good grief. I've got 217k on my 97 Toyota. Worst case scenario, I'll eventually buy something new and keep this thing for field calls.

I had my drivers ed course in a car just like that(but silver). Everyone else in school was jealous, cause they all got K-cars and Omnis.

I always thought that 1980s Mercedes Benz and Honda 2.2L/1.6L built in the late 1980s and early 1990s were the most robust engines.

400k is nearly impossible for a gas engine....

totally doable. its when they sit and IDLE all the time that they get killed really.

with good maintenance, any gasser can make it to a million, if you keep idling time to a minimum.

I know on older gas engines with carbs, idling would let fuel accumulate and wash oil off the cylinder walls, which is why they didnt last. diesels dont have that problm because diesel is somewhat of a lubricant in a way.
