I just don't understand what the ad is supposed to accomplish.

Dipshit 1: "We don't have enough support for our position. This guerrilla marketing campaign will totally win us the support of those who already support us while alienating our opposition and many of those on the fence!"

Dipshit 2: "Sounds great! Run with that fucker!"

I see it as kind of a when the facts support you hammer the facts, when the law supports you hammer the law, when neither support you hammer the table type thing.

It's suppose to be SHOCKING with little kids dropping f-bombs and gay people kissing. Then throw in that they are saying fuck hate, but hating traditional hypocrites, it's suppose to be funny in the ironic sort of way as described above. All it really is, is a self reassuring cock suckfest. It's pretty lame.

Pretty much the same marketing model used by the fuckwads over at PETA.

Want to end the whole argument, for real? Take the "religious" institution of marriage out of the hands of government. Government doesn't belong in it, anyway. Government should only care about contractual obligations so take a page out of the very slim book of things that Quebec has done right, and make it a cohabitation contract as far as government is concerned. Then people can have whatever ceremony they might want; whatever some institution will perform.

Game over. Arguments deflated.

I really really really wish this would happen. Have everything a contract to bind yourselves and property and leave the dumbass word marriage to whoever the fuck wants to use it in whatever fashion they want. This would be a big fuck you to both groups and I would laugh my ass off.

The measure of whether a solution is reasonable or not, is if both parties come away from the table dissatisfied
