Nice choice. Is the Kel Tec a PF-9? How is it as a carry weapon? I've been considering one as a carry weapon due to the nice size, low price, and I like 9mm.

Very nice. I'll be interested to know how it shoots. I'm glad you were able to pick up something you seem very happy with.

What a coinkidink!!!

I just picked up a Colt .38 Super as well. First purchase of 2011. Of course for Christmas 2010, I picked up a P7 PSP (and an SKS and an AK but we're just talking about handguns here).

I'm watching this thread for conceal as well. I am going to take the class sometime before my next ride and get something to carry.

Dammit. STOP IT! You're making me want a .45. Gun show is this weekend, but if it's anything like last years, nothing to get excited aboot.

Nice picks and pics! That Colt is sharp looking, and I'm in love with the P7. That thing is on my wish list.

Thank you, I will definitely update when I put some rounds down range.

I love my PF-9. It's ridiculously small and easy to carry. I know there are guns out there that have better fit and finish and tighter tolerences, but the value on the Keltec is hard to beat. I can wear it all day and forget it's there. It's incredibly comfy to carry. I've sent over 1000 rounds through it of FMJ and JHP and have yet to have a single failure. It's got a heck of a kick for a 9mm, but it shoots every time and groups nicely. I carried the 1911 around today in the holster I use for my PF-9 and the difference in feel is completely night and day. I noticed my range of motion was more limited with the 1911 and it would print far more than the Keltec. Granted, the holster is not the greatest for the 1911, but it gave me an idea of weight and size. When I swapped the PF-9 back in, it felt fake. It's insanely light when compared to the chunk of metal of the 1911. I had a hell of a time finding something to replace it in carry duty just because of its light weight, slim design, and ease of concealment. Best $250 I've spent so far.

Since you are talking carry, what do you think what would be a good carry for a woman? I know nothing about guns at this point but am researching... I will be taking the class in Feb, March.

I would think most will say a .380. I say it's up to the individual on what bullet they can shoot accurate and at what barrel length. Of course when carrying you dont want a 7" barrel. LOL Also the weight of the gun and where you want to carry it (ankle, waist, chest).

I plan on carrying my Sigma 9 and I feel like its kinda too big to carry under my jacket. The gun size + holster + armor jacket + riding jacket = I know it's there a little too much.

This .380 looks mean.
