Ok, on the gear topic, you need gear that fits, leathers should never be loose and moving, if they are, you are are chancing a rash from the leathers rather than the road on the inside of your gear as well as the impact. Check around, you can often find great deals on closeout leather jackets if you cant get that one altered.
not only worry about rash... but worry about the armor not being in the proper spot in the case of an impact...

my first jacket I bought was 2 sizes to big... the guy that sold it to me told me just to wear a fleece under it... and it'd fit fine... so i did for a while... after all it was 40* in Alaska... so wearing more layers was a GOOD thing... but even then the jacket flapped a bit in the wind....

I still have it... but since i got my A* Stunt2 jacket... I only tried it on once... and was like... fuck that... I could wear it OVER my stunt2 jacket!

Nah common misconception. You can be in a full 1 piece suit and ride like a complete jackass in town and still be a squid.

Believe it or not, the term originates with Racers!

It's a term that was a shortened version of "squirrely kid" referencing a new racer that didn't know what they were doing.
