Damn that sucks... I agree... The cellphone thing is stupid... But I'd be lying if I said I've never driven and talked on my cellphone... Glad your ok... Hope everyone else is too... And maybe this will help the "cougar" pay more attention while driving.

WOW, amazing that you are OK - and that you kept it upright!! Good job!

As for the lady, make sure the police report doesn't come out funny because she *knows* people

Hands-free device FTW. Call your lawyer. That is all.

Talking on your cell phone while driving is now legal here. I wish the police would really crack down on people b/c it's an easy and good way to make money for the city. I am all for people getting tickets b/c your mind it truly distracted while chatting with someone verses listening passively to the radio. Just yesterday a stupid witch came to a screaming halt inches from our bumper b/c she was on her cell phone and reaching for something under the passenger seat. I was in my Civic and not my uber safe Volvo....

Being preggo and going to have a little one to think of really makes a person particular when other's around them are careless.

I dont even like the hands free cell phones - mostly b/c people walk around with their ear pieces on pretending they are too important to miss a phone call.

I've lived for 31 years and survived without talking on my cell while driving, I don't know why it's that hard for a lot of people.

Anyway, glad you are okay as it could have been worse. Shame to have to deal with this before your big trip.

Driving along, talking on cell phone, all of a sudden crash air bag, ow. Oh NO, someone made me smoosh my pretty car!

what happened in the eyes of... well, everyone else.

Driving along, traffic stops somewhat suddenly. Everyone stops leaving as much room as possible cause they are paying attention to what they are doing, (ie DRIVING) then some dumb bitch in a fancy car talking on her cell phone not paying attention rear ends a small pickup. That small pickup gets shoved into a small SUV, which gets pushed into a bike.

But don't worry, it wasn't her fault.
Dollars to donuts says that the above sums it up perfectly.

Sorry to hear of the accident, Quick.

Glad to hear to are ok, you should still get checked out by a doc.

Get your ass to the doctor right now and get checked out before you proclaim yourself "fine" Any kind of jarring accident can show up later and cause you grief. If you don't have it documented you went to a doctor her insurance will use that against you for any future claims.
