that is when one needs to bring back the squishable rule of riding:
if something is squishable, run it over if something is not squishable, then dodge it examples: turkey- squishable, run over it minivan- not squishable, avoid like hell fat lady in moo moo- not squishable, but you could prolly have a safe impact, minds well hit it bag of decoys- semi squishable, minds well hit it squirrel- squishable frog- squishable |

You would bounced off her no prob...only thing is you may have had a little purple cloth on you from what she was wearing. and the horn works great for those stupid turkey's (which the SV horn sounds almost as bad as the rebel) .....did mess up my rhythm though. |

My first ride is usually just a 15 minute loop around town because it tends to take place when I still should not even have the bike out. (Snow, ice, tons of salt/gravel)

I have a loop I do for my first ride every year of about 30 miles that has enough curves and such to get me back into practice and that keeps me close enough to home in case something happens.
No place special.

My first ride every year is home from where Boo stays for the winter. It's about 2 hours away so it's always a nice way to ring in the season.

I'll be riding from Pensacola FL to Grand Rapids, MI with a stop in Deals Gap. I think I'll be down there the weekend of April 25th. My dad is a huge NASCAR fan and I was planning on going to the Talladega race with him before I headed home.
