The difference is, there's a limit to the type of apps you can use on a phone. A larger screen simply gives you more room to do things. Spreasheets, photo editing, publishing, etc.

But 256K, lol I guess that's why my sister's ipad took so long to re-generate our car's location on Google maps.

I have a BlackBerry Bold and I'm online with it all the time. But if I had a 45 minute train ride to work (each way) I wouldn't mind having something else that I can use to save battery power on my phone. Also the larger screen. If I was going to get one (which I'm not) I think I would pick one of the other brands over the Ipad.

One use I can see for them is for showing previous work in construction. I have used my phone for this to show a pic or two but this would be something that it can be used for. But a laptop will do the same thing. But the Playbook is much lighter then a laptop.

They have some uses but in most cases it seems like a step back from a laptop.

Also good for an airplane. There's no room for a laptop on those silly little trays anymore. Not with how close the other person's seat is.
